Reading Comprehension of the 17 UN Goals with AI-Languages AI Agent (READCO.AI)

READCO.AI is an innovative web-based platform designed to foster critical thinking and empathy through engaging animated stories and interactive dialogues with AI agents acting as Socratic guides. The educational resources are tailored for individual learners at a B2 (upper-intermediate) level and will be available via a user-friendly app.

Additionally, the platform offers classroom adaptations in six languages: English, Greek, German, French, Turkish, and Bulgarian, supporting diverse learning environments.

Our Objectives

  1. Create compelling narratives that illustrate EU values through the lens of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals defined by the United Nations
  2. Develop engaging activities designed to measurably improve reading comprehension skills.
  3. Build an interactive web application to facilitate Socratic dialogue with an AI agent.
  4. Produce comprehensive educational resources on the READCO.AI pedagogy.
  5. Integrate the READCO.AI pedagogy into a scalable training program (MOOC) for educators.
  6. Conduct an impact study to assess the effectiveness of the READCO.AI pedagogy.
  7. Curate a practical toolkit of AI agent strategies for student dialogue, accompanied by clear educator guidelines.
